Lena Al-kaisy is a graphic designer and art director who loves to experiment and challenge the conventional.
On June 5th, 2021 Lena graduated summa cum laude from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design. She worked for Coach as a Brand Creative Content Apprentice for 3 months then ventured her marketing, leadership, and branding experience by joining the virtual events company, Touchcast, as a Visual Designer. During her time there, she worked for both the marketing & events team. Currently, she is working for Piaggio Fast Forward - a company focused on developing innovative mobility solutions and robotics - as a Graphic Designer II.
Her work crosses disciplines and often involves the acts of curating, making, documenting and collaborating. She finds comfort in creating work that's conceptual and challenges traditional solutions. I believe the process of ideation is a journey of self-discovery and an opportunity to unlock the creative potential that forms, scenes, and concepts hold.
After transferring majors (from Apparel Design), Lena found herself in Graphic Design. She enjoys experimenting, form-making, and exploring the potential a form or concept holds beyond the surface level. You will often find her eager to learn, grow, and respond to different design disciplines.
Lena has work experience with the following industries: Luxury design house, marketing & advertising agency's, fashion boutiques, e-commerce, virtual events, environmental space design, digital design firms, TV & media company's, and online journalism. With her work history, rest assured that she is skillful at communicating, collaborating, leading, and engaging with different social/team demographics. She believes that collaboration across disciplines manifests into wonders and allows room for progression to take place - on a personal & institutional level.
Her rounded academic and work experience has prepared her to face all challenges and confidently accept any forthcoming opportunities.
